Pro-Palestine Protest Disrupts Gloucester Rugby Fans and Christmas Shoppers

Gloucester will face disruptions this Saturday (November 25) as protestors gather in the city, causing road closures and traffic issues. The protest, in solidarity with the Palestinian people, has led to the temporary closure of 10 roads across the city center.

The march will take place from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, impacting fans heading to watch Gloucester Rugby play against Leicester Tigers at 2.30pm. The road closures will also affect Christmas market visitors at Gloucester Quays, necessitating alternative parking arrangements and longer travel routes.

The affected roads include Oxebode, Westgate Street, Commercial Road, Bristol Road, Trier Way, Bruton Way, Black Dog Way, Gouda Way, and St Oswolds Way, spanning from the city center to the Docks area. The closures are expected to cause significant inconvenience to both rugby fans and Christmas shoppers, with diversions and delays anticipated.
