British television presenter Paddy McGuinness recently opened up about a surreal night out with Prince Harry that left him both stunned and amused. Recounting the story on The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast, Paddy described how the royal surprised him with an unexpected kiss on the lips before vanishing into the night.
The 52-year-old presenter was reminiscing about Soccer Aid in 2016 when the conversation turned to Harry, prompted by musician Niall Horan’s mention of his own involvement in the charity football event. Paddy recalled a lively evening near their hotel at a Chelsea bar called Jak’s, where he, Harry, and other celebrities enjoyed a few drinks.
“I’ll never forget,” Paddy said, “Prince Harry tapped me on the shoulder and said, ‘I wanna go to Fernando’s.’” Fernando’s, of course, is the fictional romantic destination from the dating show Take Me Out, which Paddy once hosted.

Before he knew it, Prince Harry grabbed Paddy, planted a kiss on his lips, and initiated a dance-off. “I’m dancing with the eighth in line to the throne,” Paddy laughed. “He even took my T-shirt off while I was trying to hold my stomach in, then he just disappeared. It was just a random, unforgettable night.”
Niall Horan, who witnessed the event, recalled Paddy’s stunned expression as he processed the moment. Paddy, clutching beers in both hands, concluded that the night was one for the books. In his autobiography, My Lifey, Paddy had shared that Harry also bought them Jagerbombs before their wild dance encounter.
This candid tale highlights a rare, playful glimpse of Prince Harry away from his royal duties — showing a lighter side of the prince that few get to see.
