Pregnant Mother Assaulted in Frightening Road Rage Incident

A heavily pregnant mother and her young son encountered a terrifying road rage incident when a male driver targeted them. While waiting at a junction on the Ross Road in Hereford, the woman was honked at by a man in a car behind her. The situation escalated when the man left his vehicle, an identified as a black Vauxhall Insignia with the partial registration plate “VU12,” and proceeded to bang on the window of the woman’s light blue Toyota Auris. After attempting to exit her car, the man repeatedly kicked her door, resulting in bruises to her leg and a dent in the car.

The West Mercia Police are urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed the assault to come forward. The suspect is described as a white man in his late 50s, of stocky build, with dark hair and a grey beard, and was accompanied by a female front-seat passenger wearing leopard-print clothing.

PC Melanie Davies, leading the investigation, emphasized the seriousness of the incident, given the victim’s advanced pregnancy and the presence of her young son. Witnesses, particularly those present during the incident around school closing time, are urged to provide any relevant information or dash-cam footage to assist the police in their inquiries.
