‘Predatory’ rapist jailed for multiple attacks on victim

Lukasz Szwagulinski, 36, of Whitecross Road in Hereford, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for committing multiple sexual offences against one woman. Convicted at Worcester Crown Court on July 9, he was found guilty of four charges, including two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault by penetration, and one count of sexual assault.

Along with his prison term, Szwagulinski has been issued a restraining order prohibiting contact with his victim.

Detective Constable Amy Cook of Hereford Reactive CID praised the victim’s bravery and resilience throughout the case. She emphasized that Szwagulinski’s predatory behaviour fully justifies the lengthy custodial sentence. DC Cook also urged other victims of rape or sexual abuse to come forward, assuring them that their concerns will be taken seriously and offenders will be prosecuted to the fullest extent.
