The National Grid reported that the electricity supply was interrupted around noon, impacting 117 properties in various local postcodes including GL2 2FN, GL2 2GP, GL2 2SA, GL2 2SD, GL2 2SF, GL2 4SA, and GL2 5GP.
Engineers are actively working to restore power, with service expected to return by approximately 6:30 pm. A National Grid spokesperson expressed regret over the inconvenience, stating, “We became aware of this power cut at 12:01 pm and immediately started efforts to restore the supply. We understand how disruptive this situation is and sincerely apologise for the impact on everyone’s day. Our team is dedicated to restoring electricity as quickly and safely as possible.”
