Popular Cheltenham Street Food Spot The Woozy Pig Closes After One Year

The Woozy Pig, a beloved street food restaurant in Cheltenham, is set to close its standalone location at 50 Suffolk Road this Saturday, May 30, ending a one-year chapter in its journey. Since opening the permanent site in May 2025, the cult burger and barbecue brand quickly became a local favorite, building on its strong reputation from its origins as a roadside food truck launched in 2017.

Despite the excitement surrounding the restaurant’s opening, The Woozy Pig recently announced it would be closing the venue to refocus on what it does best—serving up epic street food at residencies, festivals, and special events. The team shared their gratitude for the loyal customers and praised their dedicated staff, reflecting on the achievements made during their time in Cheltenham. Notably, The Woozy Pig earned a spot in OpenTable’s top 100 restaurants in the UK in 2026, marking a significant milestone in its growth.

While the physical restaurant closes, fans can still enjoy The Woozy Pig’s offerings at Dunkertons Park, where it shares a residency with its sister food truck, Casa Loca Tacos, known for Mexican street food favorites. Delivery options remain available via Deliveroo for now, giving customers continued access to their favorite dishes.

To mark the occasion, a farewell party will be held at the Suffolk Road location on its final day. Guests with bookings beyond May 30 will be contacted, and those holding gift cards can reach out via email to redeem them.

The Woozy Pig’s closure has left many fans disappointed but hopeful for the brand’s future ventures, as the team plans to bring new menu innovations and energy back to their food trucks and event appearances.
