The Woozy Pig, a beloved street food brand in Gloucestershire, has announced it will close its standalone restaurant in Cheltenham after just one year. Known for its cult-favourite burgers and barbecue, The Woozy Pig first captured hearts in 2017 as a roaming food truck before settling into a permanent site at Dunkertons Park in 2023.
In May 2025, excitement grew when the brand expanded into a dedicated restaurant location at 50 Suffolk Road. However, the journey at this brick-and-mortar venue is coming to an end, with the final day set for Saturday, May 30, 2026.
In a heartfelt social media statement, the team at The Woozy Pig expressed pride in what they had accomplished but explained the decision to return to their core passion: serving up street food at festivals, residencies, and events across the region. They announced plans to introduce new menu items at their Dunkertons Park site, emphasizing their busy schedule and enthusiasm for upcoming projects.

Despite the restaurant closure, fans can continue enjoying The Woozy Pig’s food at Dunkertons Park or via their sister truck, Casa Loca Tacos, which offers Mexican street food delights. Deliveries through Deliveroo will also remain available for the time being.
The Woozy Pig will host a farewell party at the Suffolk Road location on May 30. Patrons with reservations beyond this date will be contacted, and those holding gift cards are encouraged to reach out via email. Fans have expressed their disappointment online, underscoring how much the restaurant has meant to the local community.
