Gloucestershire Police has confirmed the on-duty death of PC Ian Minett on Saturday, June 21. The force described his passing as “unexplained but non-suspicious,” and the Coroner has been notified.
A spokesperson stated: “Gloucestershire Constabulary is deeply saddened to report the death of PC Ian Minett this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. We respectfully ask for privacy for his family.”
Adam Williams, Chair of the Gloucestershire Police Federation, expressed profound sorrow: “We are devastated by the loss of PC Ian Minett. I had the privilege of working with Ian, who was well-liked by all who knew him. His passing is a significant loss to his shift, the station, and the entire Constabulary.”
