Motorists in Gloucestershire are being alerted to an abnormal load moving through the area on Wednesday morning, May 28. A forklift truck, measuring 20 metres long and five metres wide, will be transported under police escort from Mitcheldean in the Forest of Dean to the M5 motorway.
The convoy will begin its journey at approximately 9:30 a.m. at Vantage Point Business Park in Mitcheldean. The route will follow the A4136 and A40 before joining the M5 southbound at junction 11.
While efforts will be made to minimize traffic disruption, drivers are encouraged to plan for possible delays, allow extra travel time, or consider alternative routes. Police thank the public in advance for their understanding and apologize for any inconvenience caused during this escorted transport.
