Gloucestershire police have issued a public appeal after reports of an off-road motorbike being ridden around the Cotswold village of Upper Rissington without a registration plate. The unregistered bike has been seen being ridden on public roads, raising concerns for local residents' safety.

The police posted a request for information on the Your Community Alerts Gloucestershire website on May 9, urging anyone with knowledge of the bike or its rider to come forward. Officers emphasized the importance of receiving timely reports to enable effective enforcement.

The alert explains: “We are very aware that a group of males are using an off-road motorbike (which has no registration plate) on roads in Upper Rissington. Please continue to report sightings to us, and we will do our best to attend at the right time – we are listening to the community.”

Authorities are seeking help to identify the rider and locate where the bike is stored. They are asking residents to watch for suspicious activity, such as someone wheeling the bike into a garden or doorbell footage that shows the rider’s face. The police stressed that the goal is to stop this dangerous behaviour and remove the bike from public roads to ensure community safety.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Gloucestershire police by calling 101 or by submitting a report online.
