Gloucestershire Constabulary have issued an appeal to trace a man in connection with a serious assault that occurred earlier this week in Cheltenham.
Detectives are seeking 44-year-old James Benson, also known as Jamie, following the incident near the Winston Churchill Memorial Gardens and the Honeybourne Line at approximately 5.30 pm on Wednesday, 19 August.
Benson is currently of no fixed address but is known to have links to Cheltenham. He is described as being around 6 feet tall, of medium build, with black hair.

Detective Sergeant Jon Youdan, from the Criminal Investigation Department, stated: “Officers have been following several lines of enquiry to locate Benson and now appeal to the public for assistance.
“I urge anyone who knows Benson’s whereabouts, or who encounters him, not to approach him but to contact the police on 999 immediately.
“I also speak directly to James Benson and encourage him to do the right thing by handing himself in at his nearest police station.
“Should you have any information about Benson’s location, please call 999 quoting reference 53260071857.
