Police Appeal Following Suspicious Fire Near Gloucester’s Kingsholm Stadium

Police are currently investigating a suspicious fire that broke out in a Gloucester park near Kingsholm Stadium. The fire was extinguished by firefighters late on Saturday night.

Emergency services responded to the blaze at approximately 10 p.m. on June 27, in the area between St Oswald’s Road and Deans Way. Upon arrival, firefighters and police discovered a trolley and its contents were deliberately set on fire.

The fire caused damage to a conifer tree, fencing, toys, and some equipment in adjacent gardens. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Investigators are now seeking information from anyone who may have observed suspicious behavior in the park while walking to an event at Kingsholm Stadium via Deans Way around the time of the fire.
