Pierce Brosnan, best known for his role as James Bond, delighted a Cotswolds art gallery owner with an unexpected visit amid his busy filming schedule. The actor has been shooting the second series of the Paramount+ crime drama MobLand in Gloucestershire, alongside fellow stars Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren.
MobLand explores the intense rivalries between two London crime families, the Harrigans and the Stevensons. Brosnan, 72, plays Conrad Harrington, the patriarch of the Harrigan family. While the first series, which aired in the spring, was primarily filmed around London, key scenes take place at Waverton House—a beautiful estate in the Cotswolds near Moreton-in-Marsh.
During a break from filming, Brosnan, an art enthusiast himself, stopped by The White Gallery in Chipping Campden for a personal visit. Gallery owner Georgina White described the encounter as “so lovely,” sharing how they enjoyed discussing art and the gallery’s exhibitions. She took to Instagram, expressing her admiration: “Today for a lovely visit to my gallery yesterday from the one and only @piercebrosnanofficial… who was quite possibly my favourite ever Bond and now most definitely is! Thank you, Pierce, for visiting @thewhitegallerycotswolds – it was so lovely speaking to you about art and thanks for completing the sibling hat trick!”

After wrapping up local filming, Brosnan returned to the gallery to bid farewell and happened to meet local artist Jeremy Houghton. Jeremy shared a photo of their meeting on social media, joking that while Brosnan was “a delightful chap,” he wasn’t tempted to buy his painting of Daniel Craig—leaving it still available.
Waverton House, where many of Brosnan’s scenes are set, is a stately home built in the late 1970s for horse breeder Joselyn Hambro and remains in the Hambro family. The picturesque estate provides an elegant backdrop for the drama’s unfolding family saga.
