Peter Phillips' New Maritime Venture a Nod to Royal Heritage

Peter Phillips, son of Princess Anne, has established Maritime Passport Ltd with the goal of revolutionizing the traditional shipping certification system, aligning with his mother’s passion for the sea. Despite the absence of an official website, this new venture aims to bring the shipping industry into the 21st century.

With a diverse career background spanning corporate hospitality, sponsorship management, and marketing endeavors, the 47-year-old entrepreneur has also ventured into commercial properties and endorsed Jersey milk from the royal herd. Reportedly, he has invested over £5 million in various establishments in Bath.

Phillips has enlisted the expertise of Professor Basak Akdemir, a trustee of the Turkish Maritime Education Foundation. Notably, one of Phillips’s four co-directors is Professor Akdemir, bringing valuable knowledge to the venture.
