As part of the ongoing investigation, the northbound carriageway between junctions 13 (Stroud) and 14 (Dursley/Falfield) remains closed and is expected to stay shut for the remainder of the day. Anyone affected by the closure requiring urgent assistance is encouraged to contact emergency services by calling 101 and requesting the relevant help.

The Roads Policing Unit is appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with the police to come forward. They are also seeking dashcam footage that may assist with the investigation. Information can be submitted online, referencing incident 189 of January 13.
