Peanuts New York Deli and Smokehouse in Stroud has quickly become a local favorite with its evolving menu and nostalgic New York flavors. The venture, which originated from a small-scale home kitchen operation in 2015, has grown into a thriving business that continues to resonate with its loyal customer base.

Founder David Paramore, initially started by selling New York style sandwiches from his home kitchen in Quedgeley. Despite gaining popularity, the limited space led to the closure of Peanuts' initial home-based operation, prompting the need for a more suitable commercial premises.

The deli’s revival was sparked by customer Nick Leguen de Lacroix, who craved the authentic New York-style pastrami Reuben after its closure. The collaboration between Nick and David led to the reopening of Peanuts, this time with a broader menu and a new location in Stroud. The addition of a smokehouse brought a delicious selection of American-style smoked meats, enhancing the menu with offerings such as brisket, pork ribs, chicken, and burgers.

Since its establishment in Stroud, Peanuts New York Deli has been warmly embraced by the local community. With a menu that pays homage to New York classics and introduces authentic American BBQ, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience.

The team’s commitment to the business’s success is evident through the addition of experienced individuals, including pitmaster and head chef Declan Gallagher, and general manager Tyrone Morgan. By making them part owners, the four partners have built a strong, collaborative team that is dedicated to the restaurant’s growth.

As Peanuts continues to thrive, the team looks towards the future, envisioning further expansion and the introduction of new menu items to captivate its customers.
