A significant milestone has been achieved in The Forum development with the completion of the Patch Gloucester fit-out, set to officially open on January 5. This flagship 17,000 sq. ft workspace represents a major advancement for The Forum, establishing a vibrant new destination for work, business, and community interaction.
Patch Gloucester will be the largest site yet for Patch, offering private offices, co-working studios, dedicated desks, members’ lounges, and publicly bookable meeting rooms and event spaces. This dynamic environment is designed to support creatives, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community groups with a high-quality, flexible workspace.
The fit-out was carried out by Gloucester-based Cobus Spaces, a third-generation family-run business with over 20 years of experience delivering top-quality design and build office projects across the UK. They collaborated closely with local subcontractors to bring this vision to life.

Reflecting The Forum’s commitment to sustainability, the workspace features a modern, design-led approach and is net-zero carbon in operation.
Freddie Fforde, founder of Patch, commented, “Working with Cobus Spaces, known for their exceptional workplaces and sustainability focus, has been fantastic. With the fit-out complete, Patch Gloucester is shaping up to be the vibrant, community-driven hub we envisioned—flexible, inspiring, and purpose-built for modern working.”
Patch is a key element of The Forum, a £107 million development led by Gloucester City Council in partnership with Reef + Partners. The broader development includes 135,000 sq. ft of Grade A office space, a 4-star Hotel Indigo by IHG Hotels, a 393-space car park with 41 EV charging points, residential apartments, and retail units.
Lloyd Coldrick, managing director of Cobus Spaces, said, “We are proud to have played a pivotal role in bringing Patch Gloucester to life. Our experienced team worked in close collaboration to realize Patch’s design-led, community-focused ambition.”
Peter Langly-Smith, managing director at Reef + Partners, added, “Completion of this fit-out marks a proud moment for The Forum. Patch’s vibrant spaces will energize Gloucester’s city centre, and we eagerly await welcoming pioneering businesses when they open in January.”
Cllr Jeremy Hilton, leader of Gloucester City Council, highlighted, “Having Patch’s flagship here in Gloucester, especially within The Forum, is a major win. The opening of Patch initiates a year of growth for our city, promising new jobs, investment, and considerable economic benefits.”
