Hanif Laskar, owner of the beloved Rajdoot Indian Restaurant in Cirencester, faced a severe financial crisis after Uber Eats mistakenly transferred nearly £37,700 to the wrong account. The error, which occurred in June, left Hanif struggling to pay suppliers and staff wages for his eight employees. Despite persistent follow-ups over four months, he received no clear answers or progress updates from Uber Eats.
Hope arrived when South Cotswolds MP Roz Savage took up his case.
