More than 400 homes across Gloucestershire villages have been left without electricity since this morning, May 23, following a fault on the overhead power network. The National Grid first reported the outage at 10:57am, affecting 403 properties in the Stroud district, including the villages of Oakridge Lynch and Frampton Mansell, as well as other areas within the GL6 and GL7 postcode zones.
Engineers have been actively working to resolve the issue, with ongoing updates provided on the National Grid website. Although it was initially expected that power would be restored by midday, a significant number of homes remain without electricity.
A recent update confirms that power has been restored to 302 properties so far, but those still affected could be without supply until as late as 7pm this evening.
