Amanda Owen, the beloved Yorkshire Shepherdess and star of Our Yorkshire Farm, recently opened up about a remarkable rescue carried out by her daughter Clemmy. The moment, described by Amanda as a “miracle,” unfolded when Clemmy saved a lamb from a perilous situation on their family farm.
First winning hearts when Our Yorkshire Farm launched on Channel 5 in 2018, Amanda and her family have since been chronicled in multiple series, including the 2024 Channel 4 show, Our Farm Next Door. This ten-part series follows their painstaking restoration of a two-century-old farmhouse, Anty John’s, nestled in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales.
Despite her separation from Clive Owen, Amanda remains deeply rooted in farm life at Ravenseat Farm alongside Clive and their nine children. The latest season of Our Farm Next Door debuts Monday, January 19 at 9pm on More4.

Ahead of the premiere, Amanda appeared on ITV’s This Morning alongside her daughters Clemmy and Nancy. During the interview with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, the family recounted tales from farm life, including one dramatic episode featuring Clemmy’s courageous rescue.
In a gripping scene from the show, Clemmy discovers a lamb trapped down an unexpected mineshaft opening on their land. “That is one lucky lamb, that is a miracle, and that is down to you guys,” Amanda told her daughters as the lamb was safely reunited with its flock.
Clemmy described the intense moment: “It was lambing time last spring. Since the sheep were all at Anty John’s and the field, one of the lambs had fallen down a mineshaft opening. We found it and managed to get him out.”
Amanda added with admiration, “She offered herself up; she was being dangled by her feet while she went down there.”
The interview also touched on the family’s restoration efforts at Anty John’s. Amanda admitted the process is slow: “It’s a very slow job. The goal is to restore the house authentically, preserving its heritage while making it livable and work-friendly. There’s nothing contrived about it, but it’s a gradual project. The kids are all involved—definitely keeping busy.”
Fans can catch the new episodes of Our Farm Next Door starting tonight, Monday, January 19, at 9pm on More4.
