In the clip from his Channel 5 series, Life in the Dales, Reuben found himself stuck with a 26-ton loading shovel in the mud, humorously remarking on the situation. His mother, Amanda Owen, later arrived at the scene, cautioning him with the words: “I tell you what, your dad is going to kill you.” Despite the mishap, Reuben light-heartedly recalled the incident and the challenges of farming life.
