Amanda Owen, beloved star of Our Yorkshire Farm and Our Farm Next Door, recently expressed her “overwhelming pride and love” as her daughter Raven marked a special milestone—her graduation. The Yorkshire Shepherdess fondly recalled watching Raven not only receive her degree but also tackle a practical challenge by successfully starting a faulty car without jump leads.
Raven, 24, is the eldest of Amanda and her former partner Clive’s nine children. Since graduating with a Biomedical Science degree from York St John’s University in 2022, Raven has continued to embody the values of practical skills and resilience that her family champions. Amanda, who shares the joys and challenges of rural life at Ravenseat Farm in the Yorkshire Dales through their television programmes, highlighted the importance of these life skills in her Instagram tribute.
Sharing several photos from the graduation ceremony, including a shot of Raven’s certificate, Amanda wrote: “For Raven, I remember so fondly how proud I felt on the day of your graduation. You had managed to get your neighbour’s car started without jump leads by disconnecting your car battery and using a couple of spanners. The overwhelming pride and love that I had for you that day.” She included the hashtags #skills and #lifeskills to emphasize the value of hands-on knowledge.

Fans quickly flooded Amanda’s post with congratulations and heartfelt comments. Admirers described Raven’s achievement as “brilliant,” “incredible,” and a “proud mum and dad moment.” One follower remarked, “No success is accidental. Congratulations!”
Amanda and Clive, who separated in 2022 after 22 years of marriage, continue to co-parent their nine children—Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy—while collaborating on their farm projects. The family’s journey has been a central narrative in their original show Our Yorkshire Farm and its successor, Our Farm Next Door, which documents their efforts to renovate a neighbouring farm into a family home.
