Our Great Yorkshire Life is set to return to Channel 5, bringing with it a heartfelt celebration of Yorkshire’s rich heritage, vibrant communities, and unique residents. The show stars Reuben Owen, known for his previous series Life in the Dales, and is produced by Daisy Beck Studios, the creative team behind the popular Fletchers on the Farm.
Narrated by Dean Andrews, who many will recognise from his role as Will Taylor on ITV’s Emmerdale, this warm and engaging programme has captured the hearts of viewers with its authentic portrayal of England’s largest county. Since its debut in 2022, Our Great Yorkshire Life has shone a light on the stunning landscapes and diverse stories found throughout Yorkshire.
The latest series explores the full expanse of the county, from the dramatic moorlands and rolling Dales to the rugged North Yorkshire coastline and bustling cities. It features a mix of familiar faces and everyday Yorkshire folk whose passions and lives contribute to the fabric of the region.

According to the programme’s description, “Our Great Yorkshire Life celebrates the lives of passionate Yorkshire people across England’s biggest and most beautiful county. Along its unspoiled coastline, in its countryside, villages, towns and cities, Our Great Yorkshire Life promises a brand-new take on Yorkshire life.”
Reuben Owen, now 22, first gained public attention in 2018 when he appeared alongside his parents, Amanda and Clive Owen, on the Channel 5 documentary Our Yorkshire Farm, which followed their family life on their farm. Over five seasons, Reuben was often seen assisting with livestock and various farming tasks.
Branching away from traditional farming, Reuben has since built a successful career in groundworks and heavy plant machinery, an entrepreneurial path chronicled in his own Channel 5 series. His journey highlights his evolution from farm life to entrepreneurial ventures, underscoring a fresh chapter in his story.
Returning to Channel 5 with Our Great Yorkshire Life, Reuben will feature alongside other residents living in the picturesque British countryside. The new series brings more inspiring tales from across Yorkshire, continuing the beloved tradition of showcasing the region’s rich culture and people.
