Gloucestershire County Cricket Club has confirmed that Ollie Price has signed a new two-year contract extension, securing his place with the club until at least the end of the forthcoming seasons.
At 25 years old, Price has become an integral component of Gloucestershire’s squad across all three formats of the game. Known for his proficiency both with the bat and ball, he has also earned a reputation as one of the club’s most reliable fielders.
Speaking to the club’s website, Price shared his excitement about the contract renewal: “I’m really excited about the next two years. I think any time you get the chance to sign a new deal at your home club, it’s a really special one. I’m looking forward to hopefully two successful years here.”
Reflecting on his development, he added, “I think my game’s changed a lot in five years. When you first come into professional cricket, you try to prove you belong at that level. Since then, my aim has been to grow into a player the team can depend on with both bat and ball. That ambition hasn’t changed; I want to keep contributing to the team. I’ve definitely gained a lot more confidence since 2021.”
Price acknowledged the challenges faced this year, emphasising his desire to improve particularly in the red-ball format: “This year has been really challenging. Fundamentally, I want to improve, especially in red-ball cricket. As a team, we want to set some clear markers and show the quality we know we have. That’s something many of us are passionate about over the coming years. I aim to be a significant contributor in all formats to the team’s success.”
