Gloucestershire County Cricket Club has confirmed that Ollie Price has signed a two-year contract extension, securing his future with the club. The 25-year-old all-rounder has established himself as a key player across all three formats, impressing with both bat and ball, and earning recognition as one of Gloucestershire’s finest fielders.
Speaking to the club’s website, Price expressed his enthusiasm for the new deal: “I’m really excited about the next two years. I think any time you get the chance to sign a new deal at your home club, it’s a really special one. I’m looking forward to hopefully two successful years here.”
Reflecting on his development, he added, “I think my game’s changed a lot in five years. When you first come into professional cricket, you try to prove you belong at that level. Since then, I’ve aimed to grow into someone the team can depend on with both bat and ball. That ambition hasn’t changed; I want to keep pushing my contributions for the team. I’ve definitely grown a lot in confidence since 2021.”

Price also acknowledged the challenges faced this year: “There’s no hiding from the fact that this year has been really challenging. My biggest aim now is to improve, especially in red-ball cricket. We want to establish ourselves as the team we know we can be, which is something we’re passionate about over the next couple of years. Personally, I hope to contribute significantly across all formats towards the team’s success.”

“Ollie has progressed through our pathway and developed into a key figure within the squad. He sets high standards daily, both through his performances and the example he provides to the group. He has become a real leader in the dressing room and is highly respected by his teammates.
“He’s an incredibly talented cricketer who continues to improve across all areas, and we believe his best years are still ahead. Importantly, his ambition aligns with that of the Club, and we’re excited to see his achievements in Gloucestershire colours over the coming seasons.
