Ofsted Praises Atlas Camps for Exceptional Childcare Services in Gloucester

Atlas Camps Quedgeley – Beech Green, a holiday club providing out-of-school childcare, has received high commendations from Ofsted for its outstanding care and support for children. As per their recent inspection on February 20th, the club, based at Beech Green Primary School in Quedgeley, Gloucester, has been recognized for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to children’s well-being.

Catering to children aged four to 14, Atlas Camps has a maximum capacity of 20 children at a time, with 34 children currently enrolled in its programs. The club is managed by Atlas All-Stars Limited and is registered on the Early Years Register, the Compulsory Childcare Register, and the Voluntary Childcare Register.

Ofsted inspectors particularly lauded the staff for their warm and attentive approach, emphasizing the individualized care given to each child. Prior to the children’s arrival, the staff invest time in getting to know their personalities and preferences, ensuring a smooth and positive transition into the club.

The club’s diverse range of activities, designed to promote physical development and communication skills, was highlighted in the report. Additionally, there is a strong focus on emotional well-being, with staff providing nurturing support and inclusive practices for children with additional needs.

Leadership and management were also praised, with recognition of the dedicated management team’s efficient leadership and focus on staff training and development. Parental feedback further endorsed the club, highlighting their children’s enjoyment and strong relationships with the staff, along with the regular communication maintained by the club.

Encouraging independence and healthy habits, promoting kindness, reinforcing safety procedures, and fostering strong relationships between children and staff were identified as key strengths of the club. The emphasis on creating a positive and supportive environment was underscored as crucial to the club’s success and recognition from Ofsted.

In response to the positive Ofsted evaluation, Dan Tanner, co-founder and director of Atlas Camps, expressed his delight at the acknowledgment, attributing it to the dedication and passion of the club’s team. He emphasized the club’s commitment to providing high standards of care, supporting children’s development, and promoting their well-being. The positive assessment reaffirmed the club’s mission to create a nurturing and inspiring space for children to thrive.
