Noel Edmonds, the beloved television presenter, recently shared a touching message with his Instagram followers reflecting on his bold decision to leave the UK and start a new chapter in New Zealand.
In 2019, Noel and his wife, Elizabeth Davies, relocated to New Zealand, embracing a fresh lifestyle. Speaking candidly about the experience, Noel admitted that upon arrival, he “knew nobody” and faced the challenge of building a new life from scratch.
In a recent Instagram video, the 76-year-old greeted his audience warmly: “Hello, good morning, good evening, good afternoon wherever you are in the world. Thank you for all your kind comments. I really enjoy sharing these messages, and it seems you enjoy receiving them even more. I’m currently on the beach at Nelson Bay, and it’s just glorious today with a refreshing breeze and temperatures around 23, 24 degrees.”

Noel went on to encourage those facing difficulties: “I came to New Zealand in search of a completely new lifestyle in 2019, knowing absolutely no one. While some might say, ‘It’s easy for you because you’ve got money,’ the truth is, I’ve worked hard all my life and paid my taxes.”
He added a motivational message for anyone feeling stuck: “If you’re facing challenges—whether personal, family-related, or external—don’t let demotivation take hold. You have the strength to make bold decisions. It’s not bravery that brought me here, but boldness. The true bravery was shown by those who settled here centuries ago, risking everything for a new life.”
Noel concluded with heartfelt advice: “Sometimes in life, you need to be bold and do things for yourself. Doing so benefits not only you but also those you care about most.”
Fans responded warmly to his uplifting words. One follower posted, “You’re so right… nothing worthwhile ever feels easy at first. It’s better to regret doing something than regret not doing it.” Another added, “Brilliant stuff. Sending you positive energy and love.” A third wrote, “I really needed to hear this today.”
Noel Edmonds' honest and inspiring reflections have resonated deeply, reminding everyone of the power of courage and determination when facing life’s turning points.
