Noel Edmonds Breaks Down as He Shares Heartfelt Plan to Marry Wife for Fifth Time

TV legend Noel Edmonds was brought to tears during the latest episode of his ITV series, Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure, which aired on July 11. The 76-year-old broadcaster opened up about his deeply personal and touching intention to marry his wife Liz for a remarkable fifth time.

Known as the iconic host of Deal or No Deal, Noel’s emotion was clear as he discussed his plans to restore an old chapel on his expansive £15 million estate in New Zealand. He envisions the chapel as a beautiful venue to celebrate another wedding with Liz, whom he affectionately calls “the love of my life.”

“The plan is to restore it completely,” he said, voice thick with feeling. “And Liz and I will get married for a fifth time. To restore the chapel and have all our friends here somehow… it’s a really important milestone on this journey.”

Noel’s candid revelation comes as he pours dedication into transforming River Haven—his vineyard and eco-resort nestled on New Zealand’s South Island—into a lush retreat for family and friends. His estate includes not only vineyards but also a quirky pub named The B*gger Inn and the neglected chapel, which Noel described humorously as “a fly and wasp cemetery.”

Yet, now the TV personality is determined to breathe new life into this rundown chapel and turn it into a meaningful place where he and Liz can renew their vows. The couple first married in 2009 and have since shared several unique wedding ceremonies.

During the show, Noel spoke directly to viewers while explaining his vision before proposing to Liz once again—in the relaxing comfort of a hot tub.

“I’ve had an idea, bear with me,” he said. “We’ve never been married in New Zealand, our home.”

In a heartfelt moment, Noel asked, “I propose that we restore the chapel at the farm and on our anniversary I want to walk you down the aisle of our own chapel and have the wonderful Russell, the local minister, marry us. Again. Deal or No Deal?”

Liz responded with a playful smile, “Go on then!” As Noel got down on one knee, half-submerged in water, it marked their fifth engagement. “How could I refuse?” she joked.

Reflecting on Noel’s gesture, Liz shared, “He’s a big romantic, which I’m pleased about. Because after almost 20 years, he still wants to marry me.”

Their impressive nuptial history features four prior ceremonies: a civil union in the Cotswolds, a blessing in France, an unexpected wedding on a cruise ship, and now a heartfelt desire for a New Zealand celebration inspired by their very own chapel.

Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure is currently streaming on ITVX.
