A brand-new restaurant and takeaway is preparing to open in a vacant building in the Cotswolds town of Lechlade, promising a fresh culinary experience for locals and visitors alike.
The venue, which was previously home to The Hungarian Kitchen and several Italian eateries, is best known as the former Red Lion pub, a landmark dating back to 1881. Now in the hands of a local restaurateur, the new owners are keeping the concept under wraps, heightening anticipation in the town.
A spokesperson for the new leaseholders shared their enthusiasm: “We’re thrilled to be bringing a new chapter to such a historic site in Lechlade. The town already boasts a wonderful array of eateries and pubs, and we’re eager to become part of the community and its heritage for many years to come.”
