A new dining destination is set to open its doors in Lechlade this December, bringing a fresh pan-Asian experience to the historic high street. You Me and Umami will take over the building that once housed the Red Lion pub, a landmark dating back to 1881.
Owned by Foyez Rahman, who also runs Sasa’s Indian Kitchen and Bar in Crudwell, Wiltshire, this venture marks his first pan-Asian restaurant. Foyez expressed his enthusiasm about launching the restaurant in Lechlade, praising the local community for their warm support during the staffing and preparation stages.
“I’ve developed a passion for the diverse flavors of Asia, inspired by my travels and experiences here in the UK,” Foyez explained. “We are excited to introduce dishes influenced by Korean, Japanese, and Malaysian cuisines to the Cotswolds region.”
