New Multi-Storey Car Park Opens at Gloucester’s The Forum with Competitive Rates

A brand-new multi-storey car park is set to open in Gloucester city centre next month, offering motorists convenient and accessible parking. The Q-Park facility at The Forum on Station Road will officially open on Monday, December 22, just in time for the busy Christmas shopping season.

This 398-space, barriered car park operates 24/7 and offers the convenience of online pre-booking to secure parking spots ahead of your visit. The Forum car park forms a key part of the Kings Quarter development, which has also seen the opening of the University of Gloucestershire’s new City Campus in the former Debenhams building. Looking further ahead, the Hotel Indigo is expected to open in February 2026, adding to the area’s growing appeal.

Parking charges at Q-Park The Forum are as follows:

  • Up to 1 hour: £1.50
  • Up to 2 hours: £2.50
  • Up to 3 hours: £4.00
  • Up to 4 hours: £5.00
  • Up to 6 hours: £6.00
  • Up to 12 hours: £7.00
  • Up to 24 hours: £8.50

According to the Q-Park website, this facility offers “barriered 24/7 parking in the heart of Gloucester” with features including CCTV coverage, electric vehicle (EV) charging points, lifts, and dedicated spaces for disabled drivers. The easy ticketless entry system enhances the overall user experience, making parking hassle-free.

The pricing at The Forum is comparable to other Gloucester car parks such as Kings Walk and Eastgate Shopping Centre, where the rates are slightly higher for two to four hours. Gloucester Quays car park, meanwhile, has higher rates for longer stays but offers cheaper evening rates.

This new addition to Gloucester’s parking infrastructure is expected to meet growing demand while providing modern, secure, and affordable parking right in the city centre.
