Katie O’Brien’s, a new Irish bar, will open its doors this Saturday in Cheltenham’s Brewery Quarter. To celebrate, visitors are invited to enjoy a free pint of Guinness during the launch weekend.
The venue promises authentic Irish hospitality, live music, a festive atmosphere, and plenty of opportunities to sample the renowned stout. Katie O’Brien’s will be the thirteenth branch of the Irish Tavern chain in the UK, offering live music, big-screen sports broadcasts, and a welcoming social setting. No advance booking is necessary; guests can simply arrive to join the festivities.
Adding to the excitement in the Brewery Quarter, independent craft brewery Siren Craft Brew opened nearby earlier this week, marking two new arrivals within six days.

Nikki Kontarines, director at Martin Commercial Properties, which manages the Brewery Quarter, said the new pub “adds another distinctive experience to the growing line-up and brings something different to the destination.” She highlighted the continued investment and variety being offered, making the area a lively spot for dining, socialising, live entertainment, and sports viewing.
A spokesperson for Katie O’Brien’s expressed enthusiasm about the launch, saying, “We have been working hard to prepare and look forward to welcoming everyone. Expect plenty of Guinness, live music, good times and a proper Irish welcome during the opening weekend.”
