A murder investigation has commenced following the discovery of a man found unconscious in Malvern town centre early on Saturday, July 12. Emergency services were alerted to an incident on Belle Vue Terrace around 12:45 a.m.
The victim, a 52-year-old man, was located unconscious on the ground and was immediately transported to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the incident: a 25-year-old man, detained on suspicion of murder, and a 17-year-old boy, held on suspicion of murder and assault. Both suspects remain in police custody as inquiries continue.

Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the events or who possesses relevant doorbell, dashcam, or CCTV footage to come forward and assist with the investigation.
Officials have indicated that the incident appears to be isolated, with no ongoing threat to the local community. An increased police presence will be maintained in the area over the coming days to support investigative efforts.
Detective Chief Inspector Lee Holehouse expressed condolences to the victim’s family and reassured the public: “This heartbreaking loss will naturally concern the community, but we assure residents that this was an isolated event. We have two individuals in custody as we carry out a thorough investigation.”
He urged local residents: “If anyone has any information or visual recordings relating to the incident, please contact the police. Any details could be crucial in understanding what happened.”
West Mercia Police stated: “Officers responded swiftly after reports of an altercation on Belle Vue Terrace. Upon arrival, they found the victim unresponsive and rushed him to hospital. The two arrests followed promptly as our investigation progresses.”
