Mum of One Marries Stranger from Colombia After Instagram Message

Loulou J Morgan, a 42-year-old body positivity influencer from Gloucester, Gloucestershire, embarked on an extraordinary love story that began with a simple Instagram message. In December 2021, Jose Skate, a 33-year-old rapper from Santa Marta, Colombia, sent Loulou a casual “Hola.” Despite the 5,000-mile distance and a language barrier—Jose spoke little English, relying on a translator app—the pair quickly connected.

Their daily video calls, full of deep conversations about family, music, and life, sparked a bond that grew stronger with each passing day. By April 2022, after just a few months of virtual connection and without a traditional proposal, Loulou and Jose decided to get married.

Though Loulou’s son Jesse was initially skeptical, the couple’s chemistry was undeniable. In November 2022, Loulou flew to Colombia for the first time to meet Jose in person. Their time together confirmed what they already knew—this was true love. Just eight days after her arrival, they married at a registry office.

Three years later, Loulou and Jose remain happily married and live in the UK with their two-year-old son, Raul. Despite facing online skepticism and criticism about the speed of their relationship and their age difference, Loulou stands firm: love has no timeline.

Drawing parallels to reality TV star Katie Price, who also married quickly after meeting her fiancé, Loulou emphasized that everyone’s journey is unique. She explained, “You can date someone for five years before getting down on one knee and it can fail. Or you can be with someone for five minutes and it’s endgame.”

Loulou’s relationship with Jose has been marked by understanding and unwavering support, especially as she manages chronic illnesses including FND, fibromyalgia, and complex PTSD. Their shared passion for music and genuine care for each other have transcended cultural differences and distance.

Today, Loulou continues to advocate for body positivity and raising awareness about disabilities while embracing her role as a stay-at-home mum. Her story is a testament to the unpredictability of love and the importance of following one’s heart, no matter the challenges or judgment from others.
