Five pedestrians were injured when a silver Ford Kuga veered off Culver Street and mounted the pavement in Newent, Gloucestershire, on the evening of Wednesday, July 15.
Emergency services responded at approximately 8:45 pm after reports of a vehicle striking pedestrians. Gloucestershire Police confirmed that two women suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. One woman has since been discharged, while the other remains hospitalized.
Three additional pedestrians sustained minor injuries and have all been released from hospital.

The driver, a woman in her 60s from Newent, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She has since been released under investigation as police continue their inquiries.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses who saw the collision or the vehicle before the incident to come forward. Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact the police.
