Motorcyclist in his 60s critically injured in A40 collision

The crash, involving a powerful brown BMW R1200 GS motorcycle and a grey Vauxhall Combo panel van, occurred shortly before 7am on September 9, leading to the closure of the A40 near Andoversford.

Emergency services attended the scene promptly, and the rider was initially taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with a suspected head injury.
