Motorcyclist Dies in Cotswolds Collision

A motorcyclist has tragically died following a collision on the A429 Fosseway, near The Old Prison in Northleach, Gloucestershire. The incident occurred at approximately 4.40pm on Wednesday, 12 August.

The crash involved three vehicles: a green-and-black Kawasaki ZX900 motorcycle, a white Scania tipper lorry, and a grey Nissan Juke. Emergency services promptly attended the scene, where paramedics treated the rider, a man in his 40s from the Cotswolds. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The deceased’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

Following the collision, the A429 was closed from the Northleach Roundabout to the Old Prison Crossroads to allow for a thorough police investigation. The road has since reopened to traffic.

Investigating officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage relevant to the incident to come forward.
