A motorcyclist from Gloucester tragically lost his life following a collision with a van on the A417 near Maisemore. The accident occurred at approximately 3:50 pm on April 16, when emergency services were alerted to a crash involving a motorbike and a Ford Transit van close to Overton Farm.
According to Gloucestershire Police, the motorcyclist sustained severe injuries. Despite the immediate efforts of both members of the public and paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
The van driver was treated by paramedics and was not seriously injured. Road closures implemented during the collision investigation have now been lifted.
