Motorcyclist Dies in A433 Crash Near Cirencester

A motorcyclist tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle collision on the A433 Tetbury Road near Cirencester over the weekend. The crash, which occurred just before midday on Sunday, May 17, led to the road being closed for about ten hours.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident near The Thames Head Inn, close to Cotswold Airport. The rider, a man in his 60s from Stroud, was pronounced dead at the scene. Gloucestershire Police have confirmed that his next of kin has been informed.

The A433, an important route connecting Cirencester and Tetbury, was shut in both directions near the railway tunnel to allow for a thorough collision investigation.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone who may have seen the crash or captured dashcam footage. The motorcycle involved was a red Honda NC750X.
