A Gloucester motorcyclist tragically lost his life following a collision with a van on the A417 near Maisemore. The crash occurred at approximately 3:50 pm on April 16 near Overton Farm, prompting an immediate emergency response.
Gloucestershire Police reported that the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries despite the urgent efforts of both bystanders and paramedics. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
The van driver, traveling in a Ford Transit, was checked by paramedics and found to have no serious injuries.

Authorities temporarily closed the road to investigate the collision, but the closures have now been lifted.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward. Witnesses can provide information by completing an online form and referencing incident number 287 of April 16.
