Motorbike Passenger Dies After Collision in Forest of Dean

A fatal collision occurred in the Forest of Dean on Wednesday, April 22, resulting in the death of a female motorcycle passenger. The incident happened around 4:55 pm at the A4136 Mireystock Crossroads in Lydbrook, involving a grey Moto Guzzi motorcycle and a white Nissan dropside lorry.

Emergency services quickly responded, attending to those involved. Despite their efforts, the woman, believed to be in her 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been notified and is receiving support from a specially trained police officer.

The motorcycle rider, also a man in his 70s, was transported to the hospital and remains under medical care. Gloucestershire Police have confirmed that once his condition stabilizes, officers will request a statement regarding the collision.

The driver of the Nissan truck escaped without physical injury.

In the aftermath, several roads were temporarily closed to allow for a thorough collision investigation, but have now reopened. Authorities are appealing to any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage relevant to the crash to come forward.
