Three additional arrests have been made in connection with the suspected stabbing that resulted in the death of a man in Cheltenham. The murder investigation began on Tuesday, December 16, after emergency services responded to reports of a man in his 40s injured in an alleyway between Albert Street and Hungerford Street in the St Paul’s area of the town center.
Shortly after the incident, two teenagers and a man were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. An update on Wednesday, December 17, revealed that two women and one man, all residents of Cheltenham, were arrested on Tuesday evening on suspicion of assisting an offender. They also continue to be held in custody.
The Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) is in the early stages of its inquiry. Officers from the Cheltenham Neighbourhood Police Team are actively patrolling the area to provide reassurance to residents and ensure public safety during ongoing enquiries.

Superintendent James Glansfield expressed gratitude towards the public for their cooperation, saying, “We appreciate the information provided by the community and thank everyone for their patience as we carefully examine the scene.”
