Met Office’s Forecast for Bank Holiday Weather

The Met Office is predicting a noticeable shift in the weather over the upcoming bank holiday weekend. After experiencing the hottest day of the year so far, the UK can expect predominantly dry conditions, albeit with cooler temperatures compared to recent days. According to Met Office meteorologist Craig Snell, Sunday is anticipated to be the chilliest day, with temperatures ranging from around 10C in northern Scotland to 15-16C in southern England. While Saturday may see some showers in southern coastal areas, much of the UK is expected to remain dry. A slight temperature recovery is forecasted for Monday, with highs reaching around 16C in the south and 12C in the far north. These cooler conditions come after Thursday’s heatwave, with Kew Gardens in west London recording a high of 29.3C, the warmest temperature of the year so far.
