Representatives of the Duchess of Sussex have refuted claims that she uses the title Her Royal Highness after renouncing royal duties. Although the duke and duchess relinquished their royal titles upon stepping down as senior royals in March 2020, a podcast interview with Meghan displayed a gift card bearing the disputed title HRH.
During the podcast, a gift basket sent by Meghan to host Jamie Kern Lima featured a card that read “With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex”. The entrepreneur, co-founder of IT Cosmetics, revealed that the basket, containing homemade strawberry sauce and ice cream, was sent to her home “about a year ago… to see if that helps lighten my load”.
A spokesman for the Sussexes clarified that they do not use HRH titles. Although no official laws were passed to prevent their use, Harry and Meghan made an agreement with the late Queen and senior officials to cease using the word “Royal” after what was referred to as Megxit Day.

Buckingham Palace has been approached for comment. Meanwhile, Meghan expressed on the podcast that she is relishing a new “honeymoon” feeling with her husband now that they have gained “a little bit of breathing space” after stepping back from their royal duties.
Meghan revealed that the early years of her relationship with Prince Harry were challenging due to intense media scrutiny. She reflected on their rapid transition from courtship to public life and shared her delight in being able to enjoy a renewed sense of intimacy with Harry.
Additionally, she commended her husband for prioritizing the safety and well-being of their family. Meghan became emotional when discussing her children, Archie and Lilibet, revealing that she regularly sends them emails to secret addresses she has created for them to read when they are older.
Meghan recently launched her Netflix show, new podcast, and lifestyle brand As Ever. Her initial As Ever products, including raspberry spread, flower sprinkles, and herbal tea, quickly sold out. However, her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, received mixed reviews.
The duchess also introduced a new podcast series, Confessions Of A Female Founder, wherein she candidly shared her experiences of being a working mother at home and caring for her children.
