The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is reportedly in preliminary discussions to return to acting with a role in the television adaptation of Guy Ritchie’s hit series, The Gentlemen.
Speculation about Meghan’s acting comeback has gained momentum following recent news that she and Prince Harry will be relocating back to the United Kingdom with their young children later this month. The couple plans to settle in a private residence outside London and have already enrolled their son, Prince Archie, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, in British schools.
Prior to her marriage, the 45-year-old former actress gained widespread recognition for her role as Rachel Zane in the American legal drama Suits, and appeared in films including Horrible Bosses, A Lot Like Love, and Random Encounters.

Entertainment industry source Deadline reports that Meghan is in the early stages of talks for what could be her first significant acting role since marrying Prince Harry.
She is believed to be in consideration for a part in the The Gentlemen series, based on Ritchie’s original blockbuster film. The show stars Theo James and Kaya Scodelario and centres on Duke Eddie Horniman, who unexpectedly inherits a country estate that operates as an underground cannabis empire.
This action-comedy television series, which premiered in 2024 on Netflix, is anticipated to release its second season later this year. Meghan’s potential involvement is reportedly linked to a possible third season, although the series has yet to be officially renewed.
Notably, the first series was chiefly filmed at Badminton House in South Gloucestershire, located just ten miles from King Charles III’s Highgrove estate near the Cotswolds, a region well-known for its association with celebrities.
Recently, Meghan made a brief return to acting with a cameo appearance as herself in the upcoming comedy Close Personal Friends, which features Lily Collins and Brie Larson.
Industry experts express confidence in her potential comeback. Professor Jonathan Shalit, chairman of InterTalent Rights Group, told the Press Association: “If Meghan decided tomorrow that she seriously wanted to act again, directors and producers would absolutely want to meet her and audition her.
“Would she automatically be handed every role she wanted? Of course not. Nobody is. But would doors open? Absolutely.”
