Massive Fire Destroys Hay Bales, Horse Box, and Stables in Gloucestershire

A devastating fire broke out late Friday night, engulfing stables, 200 hay bales, a horse box, and a shipping container in flames visible from miles away. Firefighters fought the blaze for hours to bring it under control.

The Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the fire at 11:15 pm on July 26 in Heathfield, Alkington, near Berkeley. Four fire engines and their crews were dispatched from Dursley, Wotton-under-Edge, and Avon, arriving swiftly on the scene.

The stables, approximately 15 meters by 15 meters in size, were fully involved in the fire along with the horse box and shipping container. Fortunately, no horses were injured during the incident.

Fire crews worked diligently throughout the night, finally leaving the site around 3:30 am on July 27. The cause of the fire remains under investigation as officials assess the damage caused by the intense blaze.
