Man’s Body Discovered in Cheltenham Park

The body of a man was discovered early Friday morning at Winston Churchill Memorial Gardens in Cheltenham. Emergency services responded promptly after a member of the public alerted police around 6:35 a.m. on April 3.

Authorities have established a cordon at the scene on Market Street while investigations are underway. Gloucestershire Police have indicated that the death is not currently considered suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Officers are actively working to identify the deceased man’s next of kin. The police cordon is expected to remain in place throughout the day as enquiries continue.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson stated: “Following a report received shortly after 6:35 a.m. today, emergency services attended the site at Winston Churchill Memorial Gardens, Cheltenham. At this stage, the death does not appear suspicious. We are making enquiries to locate the next of kin, and the cordon will stay in place while police are at the scene.”
