Man Who Died in Malvern Town Centre Named as Murder Investigation Continues

A man who died after being found unconscious in Malvern town centre has been identified as 52-year-old Paul Hart. Two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with his death, as police continue their investigation.

Officers discovered Mr. Hart in the early hours of Saturday, July 12, on Belle Vue Terrace following reports of an altercation. He was immediately transported to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A 25-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of murder, with the younger individual also facing assault allegations. Both suspects have since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Detective Sergeant Shelly Aplin from West Mercia Police’s Major Investigation Unit expressed condolences to Mr. Hart’s family and stressed the importance of gathering information. “We want to understand exactly what happened that morning, so we are urging anyone who witnessed the events or has any information—no matter how minor—to come forward,” she said.
