A man remains at large following a fatal shooting at a traveller site near Gloucestershire on Sunday, 2 August.
Wiltshire Police were called to the site in Calcutt, near Cricklade, at approximately 8:15 am. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man in his 30s who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. A murder investigation was immediately launched.
Two individuals have since been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and unlawful possession of a firearm. Both remain in police custody as inquiries proceed.

One suspect is still outstanding, and urgent efforts are under way to locate and apprehend him. Authorities believe this individual may have left Wiltshire following the incident and reportedly had previous contact with the victim on the evening prior to the shooting.
A police cordon remains in place at the traveller site and is expected to stay for several days while investigations continue. The Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) is leading the inquiry.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker said, “First and foremost, my thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends during this difficult time.
“Our investigation has been progressing rapidly since the incident was reported. Locating the outstanding suspect is a top priority for the force, as he is believed to have left the Wiltshire area.
“We understand this incident may cause concern within the local communities. Officers are present at the scene, and the Mobile Police Station is stationed in Cricklade today to provide support. Members of the public are encouraged to approach us if they have any questions or worries.”
