Kieran Morgan, 54, from Ryeworth Road in Cheltenham, appeared at Gloucester Crown Court on October 2 for a pre-trial hearing regarding a collision on the A40. The crash, which occurred on May 27, 2024, between Andoversford and Dowdeswell, resulted in the death of a 31-year-old man from Cirencester. A woman in her 20s was also injured and taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with facial injuries.
Morgan faces several charges, including causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, causing death by careless driving whilst over the prescribed limit, and causing death by driving whilst uninsured. He pleaded not guilty to all allegations and was granted bail. The trial is scheduled to begin on May 24, 2027.
